Spam & Deceptive Practices

Clipster is built on trust. Content or actions that scam, mislead, spam, or defraud users are prohibited.

Sensitive Content

Clipster aims to protect all users, especially minors. Content containing nudity, sexual material, or self-harm references is strictly regulated.
Users must not upload content that:

• Promotes sexual content inappropriately
• Encourages or glorifies self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
• Uses vulgar or offensive language targeted at others

Violent or Dangerous Content

Users may not sell or promote illegal or regulated goods on Clipster.

Misinformation

Clipster prohibits content that spreads false or misleading information that could cause serious harm.

Educational, Documentary, Scientific, and Artistic (EDSA) Content

Some content that might otherwise violate these rules may be allowed if it is EDSA in nature.

• Abuse of the EDSA exception may lead to content removal or account action

Enforcement and Accountability

Clipster takes both on-platform and off-platform behavior seriously. Violations can result in:

• Content removal

Enforcement decisions are based on:

• Severity of the violation
• Pattern of harmful behavior

What this policy means for creators

1. Video Spam

The following behaviors are not allowed:

• Posting excessive, repetitive, or untargeted content.
• Promising viewers something but redirecting them off Clipster.
• Directing users to harmful software, phishing sites, or malicious links.
• Content that promises fast money, products, or other perks for engagement.
• Mass posting content scraped from other creators without permission.
• Autogenerated content that does not provide value or violates platform standards.

2. Misleading Metadata or Thumbnails

Creators must accurately represent their content. Misleading practices include:

• Using thumbnails, titles, or descriptions that do not match video content.
• Suggesting popular events or news coverage when content is unrelated.
• Using celebrity images or famous content to trick viewers into watching.

3. Scams

Content designed to defraud or exploit users is prohibited:

• Exaggerated claims like “Get rich quick” or miracle cures.
• Promoting cash gifting, pyramid schemes, or referral scams.
• Accounts or videos dedicated solely to cash gifting or other schemes.

4. Incentivization Spam

Creators may not manipulate engagement metrics through:

• Paying or incentivizing others to like, comment, or subscribe.
• “Sub4Sub” schemes (exchanging subscriptions for subscriptions).
• Offering content or prizes solely for engagement without meaningful value.

5. Comments Spam

Comments are meant to engage respectfully. Prohibited behaviors include:

• Posting repetitive, untargeted, or misleading comments.
• Linking to harmful software, phishing sites, or counterfeit stores.
• Promoting surveys, giveaways, or pyramid schemes in comments.
• Directing users off Clipster with unrelated content or spam links.

6. Third-Party Content in Livestreams

Creators must respect copyright and third-party rights during live streams:

• Unauthorized streaming of TV shows, music albums, or movies is prohibited.
• Content repeated despite warnings may be removed and result in penalties.

Consequences for violating this policy

Violations may result in:

• Content removal
• Warning or strike against the account
• Suspension of monetization or account termination

Strike System:

• Warning or strike emails will be sent when content is removed.
• Optional policy training may allow warnings to expire after 90 days.

• Repeated violations within 90 days may prevent warnings from expiring.

Reporting Violations

If you see content that violates our guidelines:

1. Tap the three dots (...) on any video/post
2. Select "Report"
3. Choose the violation type
4. Submit your report

All reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24-48 hours.

📘 Clipster Impersonation Policy

If you see content that violates this policy, report it immediately using Clipster’s reporting tools.

What this policy means for creators

1. Channel Impersonation

Creators must not copy another channel’s profile, background, or overall look in a way that makes it appear like it belongs to someone else.

• The channel does not need to be 100% identical, as long as the intent to impersonate is clear.
• Fan channels must clearly indicate in the channel name or handle that they are fan-made and not the official channel of the creator, artist, or entity.

2. Personal Impersonation

Content or channels intended to look like another person is posting it is prohibited.

• Using someone else’s real name, username, profile image, brand, logo, or other personal identifiers to mislead others is forbidden.
• Posting comments or content pretending to be another person is not allowed.

Examples of Violations

The following are examples of actions not allowed on Clipster:

• Channels using the same name, handle, or image as another user, with minor changes (like adding a space or replacing letters with numbers).
• Posting content or comments as if you are another person.
• Reuploading another creator’s content while posing as them.
• Claiming a fan account in the description but not clearly in the channel name or handle.
• Impersonating official news channels or organizations.

These are examples only. If you are unsure whether content violates this policy, err on the side of caution and do not post it.

Consequences for Violations

Violations may result in:

• Content removal
• Channel or account suspension
• Account termination in severe or repeated cases

Clipster reserves the right to act on impersonation concerns even if no formal report is filed, to maintain community trust and safety.

📘 Clipster External Links Policy

At Clipster, our priority is to protect creators, viewers, and our community. Links that direct users to content violating Clipster’s Community Guidelines are strictly prohibited. If you encounter such content, report it immediately.

This policy applies to videos, images, comments, pinned comments, live streams, and any other Clipster product or feature. Links can include:

• Clickable URLs
• Displayed URLs in videos or images
• Obfuscated URLs (e.g., writing “dot com” instead of “.com”)
• Verbal directions to external sites or profiles
• Any content that encourages users to access violative content outside Clipster

What this policy means for creators

Do not post links that direct users to content violating Clipster’s Community Guidelines, including but not limited to:

• Pornography or sexually explicit material
• Websites or apps installing malware, spyware, or unwanted software
• Phishing sites targeting login credentials, banking info, or personal data
• Unauthorized access to paid audio, video, software, games, or streaming services
• Sites promoting terrorist organizations or fundraising for them
• Child Sexual Abuse Imagery (CSAI)
• Sale of illegal or regulated goods
• Content violating hate speech or harassment policies
• Content promoting or instructing violent acts
• Misleading or deceptive content that could cause serious harm (e.g., misinformation affecting democratic processes)
• Manifestos or extremist content from violent attackers

Note: Affiliate content is allowed, but excessive posting in dedicated accounts may violate spam and deceptive practices policies.

Examples of Violations

• A video description linking to pornographic sites.
• A gameplay video linking to malware-infected websites offering in-game currency.
• Posting phishing links targeting user accounts or financial info.
• Encouraging viewers to visit a site verbally or via unclickable text to access restricted or violative content.
• Embedding URLs that mislead voters about elections or civic processes.

These examples are illustrative. When in doubt, do not post the link.

Consequences for Violations

• First-time violations usually result in a warning with no penalty to your channel. You may complete optional policy training, allowing the warning to expire after 90 days.
• Repeated violations within the 90-day window may result in a strike.
• Three strikes within 90 days may lead to channel or account termination.
• Severe or repeated violations may result in immediate termination, especially if a channel is dedicated to violating Clipster’s guidelines.

Clipster reserves the right to remove links or content at any time if they cannot verify safety or compliance with Community Guidelines.

📘 Clipster Fake Engagement Policy

At Clipster, our highest priority is the safety and integrity of our creators, viewers, and community. Artificially inflating engagement metrics, such as views, likes, comments, or subscribers, is strictly prohibited.

This policy applies to videos, images, comments, live streams, video descriptions, and any other Clipster feature.

What this policy means for creators

Do not post content or promote practices that:

1. Use automatic systems or third-party services to artificially increase views, likes, comments, or followers.
2. Link to or promote websites or services designed to inflate engagement metrics.
3. Encourage “sub4sub” activity (subscribing to a channel only if they subscribe to your channel).
4. Offer financial incentives or rewards solely for engagement (views, likes, or comments).
5. Feature or advertise the purchase of views, subscribers, or engagement from third parties.

✅ Allowed: Encouraging viewers to subscribe, like, share, or leave a comment as part of normal engagement.

Examples of violations

• A video showing a creator buying artificial traffic or subscribers.
• Linking to a service that promises to increase views or subscribers artificially.
• Misleading cards or prompts designed solely to trick viewers into watching another video.
• Channels dedicated to promoting artificial engagement services.

These are illustrative examples; when in doubt, avoid posting content or links that could be considered fake engagement.

Legitimate vs. Illegitimate Engagement

• Legitimate: A user interacts with content authentically with genuine interest.
• Illegitimate: Engagement obtained through coercion, deception, or solely for financial or artificial gain.

Consequences for violations

• First violation: Likely a warning with optional policy training. Completing the training may allow the warning to expire after 90 days.
• Repeated violations within 90 days: May result in a strike.
• Three strikes within 90 days: May lead to channel or account termination.
• Severe or repeated violations, or channels dedicated to fake engagement, may result in immediate termination.

Clipster reserves the right to remove violative content or links if we cannot verify compliance with Community Guidelines.

📘 Clipster Additional Policies

To maintain a safe, fair, and enjoyable environment for all users, Clipster enforces the following additional policies:

1. Encouraging Terms of Service Violations

Content that encourages others to violate Clipster’s Terms of Service is strictly prohibited.

• Any such content may be removed.
• Accounts posting such content may receive penalties or, in severe cases, termination.

Creators are responsible for ensuring that their content does not instruct, promote, or condone behavior that violates Clipster rules.

2. Posting Previously Removed or Restricted Content

Posting content that:

• Was previously removed for violating Clipster’s Terms of Service,
• Comes from creators who are restricted, or
• Comes from creators whose accounts have been terminated

is considered circumventing Clipster policies.

Consequences:

• Such content may be removed.
• Your account may receive penalties or be terminated.
• This also applies to other channels or accounts you own.

3. Age Requirements on Clipster

Clipster may require users to confirm their age if there is reason to believe they do not meet the minimum age requirements to use the platform.

• Users who do not meet age requirements may be restricted from using certain features or removed from the platform.

📘 Clipster Nudity & Sexual Content Policy

1. Explicit Sexual Content

Content that is sexually explicit or meant to be sexually gratifying is not allowed on Clipster.

• Posting pornography or sexually explicit content may result in content removal or account termination.
• Fetish content that is violent, graphic, or humiliating is prohibited.
• Content depicting sexual acts, behaviors, or sex toys for sexual gratification is not allowed.

2. Sexual Content Involving Minors

Any content featuring sexualized imagery of minors or exploitation of minors is strictly prohibited.

• Clipster reports such content to law enforcement and child protection authorities.
• Any violations may result in immediate termination of the account.

3. What You Should Avoid Posting

Do not post content showing:

• Clothed or unclothed genitals, breasts, or buttocks meant for sexual gratification
• Pornography or sexual acts
• Fetishes intended for sexual gratification
• Content depicting sexual acts, behaviors, or sex toys meant for sexual gratification
• Sexualized content without consent (groping, voyeurism, “upskirting”, predatory exhibitionism, etc.)

Educational, artistic, or scientific content may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, but must not be sexually gratifying in intent.

4. Age-Restricted Content

Some content may require age restrictions. This policy applies to videos, video descriptions, comments, live streams, audio, and any other Clipster feature.

5. Consequences for Violating This Policy

• Clipster may remove violative content and notify you via email.
• First-time violations may result in a warning. Policy training may allow the warning to expire after 90 days.
• Repeated violations or severe abuse may result in strikes, and 3 strikes within 90 days may terminate the account.
• Content that is pornography may result in immediate termination of the account.

📘 Clipster Thumbnails & Images Policy

1. Prohibited Thumbnails & Images

Thumbnails and other images (including banners, avatars, posts, and any Clipster feature with images) must not violate our community standards.

Do not post images or thumbnails that:

• Contain pornographic imagery or sexual acts
• Depict sex toys, fetishes, or sexual content meant for gratification
• Show nudity, including genitals
• Depict unwanted sexualization
• Contain violent imagery intended to shock or disgust
• Show graphic content with blood or gore
• Contain vulgar, lewd, or offensive language
• Mislead viewers into thinking the content is different than what it actually is

2. Age-Restricted Thumbnails & Image Removal

• Certain content may require age restrictions.
• Clipster may remove any thumbnails or images that violate our policies.

3. Consequences for Violating This Policy

• Pornographic thumbnails may result in immediate account termination.
• Other policy violations may result in thumbnail removal and a strike on the account.
• First-time violations generally receive a warning with no penalty. Policy training may allow the warning to expire after 90 days.
• Repeated violations within 90 days may cause the warning not to expire and a strike to be issued.
• Three strikes within 90 days, or a channel dedicated to violative content, may result in channel termination.

Clipster may also terminate accounts for severe abuse or repeated violations, and may prevent repeat offenders from taking policy trainings in the future.

📘 Clipster Child Safety Policy

The safety of Clipster’s creators, viewers, and partners is our highest priority. All users share a responsibility to maintain a safe and respectful community, particularly when minors are involved. A minor is defined as anyone under 18 years of age.

1. Content Targeting Minors

Content targeting minors or families must be age-appropriate.

• Content containing sexual themes, violence, obscene, or other mature themes not suitable for young audiences is strictly prohibited.
• Titles, descriptions, tags, and audience settings must accurately reflect the intended audience.

2. Sexualization of Minors

Content that sexually exploits or sexualizes minors is strictly forbidden.

• Any content featuring sexualized imagery of minors is prohibited.
• Clipster reports such content to law enforcement and child protection authorities.
• Posting sexualized content of minors, even with comedic intent, may result in immediate account termination.

3. Dangerous or Harmful Acts Involving Minors

Content showing minors participating in or encouraged to perform dangerous activities is not allowed.

• Examples include:
  • Using alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, or vaping products
  • Misusing fireworks or explosives
  • Handling firearms without supervision
  • Performing dangerous stunts, challenges, dares, or pranks that could lead to injury
• Content encouraging physical, emotional, or sexual abuse of minors is strictly prohibited.

Exceptions: Content in educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic (EDSA) contexts may be allowed if the minor’s identity is blurred and there is no risk of harm.

4. Misleading Family Content

Content targeting children or families that includes age-inappropriate themes is not allowed:

• Sexual themes
• Violence
• Obscenity or mature themes
• Medical procedures or self-harm
• Use of adult horror characters
• Content intended to shock young audiences

EDSA exceptions may apply but do not allow content designed to shock minors.

5. Cyberbullying & Harassment Involving Minors

Content that targets minors with the intent to:

• Shame, deceive, or insult
• Reveal personal information (email, financial info)
• Sexualize minors
• Encourage others to bully or harass

is strictly prohibited.

This policy applies to videos, posts, comments, live streams, playlists, and other Clipster features.

6. Age-Restricted Content

• Clipster may age-restrict content that is not suitable for minors.
• Ensure your audience selection matches the intended audience during upload.

7. Consequences for Violating This Policy

• Content Removal: Violative content will be removed, and you will be notified.
• Warnings: First-time violations may result in a warning, with optional policy training.
• Strikes & Account Termination: Repeated violations may result in strikes. 3 strikes within 90 days may terminate your account.
• Severe abuse or predatory content may result in immediate termination and law enforcement involvement.

Zero Tolerance: Clipster takes predatory behavior seriously. Any reported content that endangers a child will be investigated in cooperation with authorities.

🇮🇳 Clipster Suicide, Self-Harm & Eating Disorders Policy

Clipster is committed to the safety, mental well-being, and protection of our community. This policy ensures that Clipster remains a supportive, safe space for creators and viewers across India.

However, we do not allow content that promotes suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders, shocks viewers, or puts users at risk.

• Any trend encouraging harm

Includes:

• Suicide notes without context
• Weight-based bullying connected to eating disorders

Any such content may lead to removal, warning, strike, or account termination.

If you create content about suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders:

📘 Clipster Vulgar Language Policy (India Only)

At Clipster, the safety and comfort of our creators and viewers is our top priority. We want Clipster to be a respectful and positive place for everyone in India. To protect our community, we do not allow content that contains excessive vulgar or sexually explicit language, especially when minors may be watching.

This policy applies to videos, clips, comments, livestreams, channel bios, captions, and any other features on Clipster.

🚫 What is NOT allowed on Clipster

You must NOT upload content that includes:

1. Sexually explicit or vulgar language

• Using words or phrases that describe sexual acts.
• Sexual stories, narrations, or conversations.
• Words meant to arouse or shock viewers.

2. Excessive abusive or offensive language

• Repeated strong profanity.
• Harsh slurs or insults towards individuals or communities.

3. Vulgar or sexual sounds

• Moaning sounds
• Sexual audio clips
• Any audio meant to suggest sexual activity

4. Misleading titles or thumbnails

• Using vulgar language in titles to get more clicks.
• Using sexual or inappropriate words in tags, captions, or metadata.

If your content includes anything from above, it may be age restricted, removed, or your account may receive a strike.

Clipster may allow the following if the purpose is educational, artistic, or informational and the language is not excessive or sexual:

• Movies scenes with mild language
• Music or rap songs containing common slang
• Educational videos explaining social issues
• Artistic content with context

Providing clear context in description helps us classify your content correctly.

⚠️ What happens if you violate this policy

1st Violation → Warning

• Your content may be removed.
• You may need to complete a short policy training.
• Warning expires after 90 days (if no repeated violation).

2nd Violation → Strike

• Your account receives a strike.
• A strike expires after 90 days.

3rd Violation in 90 Days → Account Termination

• Your Clipster account may be permanently removed.
• All connected accounts may also be impacted.

🚫 Severe Violations Can Lead to Instant Termination

Clipster may immediately terminate your account if:

• You upload extremely explicit vulgar content.
• Your channel is dedicated to sexual or abusive content.
• You repeatedly violate this policy.

🔞 Age Restriction

If your video has minor vulgar language that is not sexual, Clipster may age-restrict it (18+).

📣 If you find violating content

You can report a video, comment, user, or channel using the Clipster Report feature. Our team will review and take necessary action.

This policy protects the safety of everyone using Clipster. Any content that encourages dangerous, harmful, illegal, or violent activities is strictly not allowed on Clipster.

Labeling Requirement

You MUST clearly label content that includes AI-generated or synthetic media which could reasonably be mistaken for real, including:

• Deepfakes or face-swapped content
• AI-generated images or videos presented as real events
• Synthetic audio mimicking real people's voices
• AI-altered footage that changes meaning or context
• Computer-generated humans, animals, or environments that appear real

How to Label Properly

Choose ONE of these clear labeling methods:

1. In Title/Description:Add "[AI Generated]", "[Synthetic Media]", or "[Created with AI]" prominently
2. On-Screen Text:Display clear text overlay throughout video: "AI Generated Content"
3. Audio Disclosure:State clearly in audio: "This content was created using AI"
4. Hashtags:Include #AIGenerated or #SyntheticMedia

Labeling MUST be:

✔ Clipster Moderation Process:

1. User reports content
2. Clipster Safety Team reviews the report
3. Content may be:
   • Removed

4. User receives notification

If your content is removed and you believe it follows the guidelines, you may appeal:
